Dominic Thompson is senior pediatric neurosurgeon in the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery, Great Ormond Street and Honorary Associate Professor at the Institute of Child Health, London, United Kingdom

Dominic’s specialist interests include, the surgical management of disorders of the pediatric spine, in particular craniocervical junction anomalies, spinal dysraphism and spinal tumours. He is paediatric neurosurgeon to the UK Nationally Commissioned fetal surgery service for myelomeningocele.

Dominic has authored over 150 peer reviewed articles and book chapters in various aspects of pediatric neurosurgery. Dominic is regular faculty member on International training courses in pediatric neurosurgery. He is on the editorial board of Childs Nervous System, Pediatric Neurosurgery and Acta Neurochirugica, he also regularly reviews for the European Spine Journal and is co-editor of the spine section of the ISPN online guide to pediatric neurosurgery.
